Hello, Church Family!

My name is Braxton Cox, and I am originally from Oakland, California. I am the son of Superintendent James G. Cox Sr. and the fourth of five children. My wife, Destiny Cox, is originally from Montreal, Canada, and is the fifth of nine children. Her father was a traveling evangelist who served under the late Rev. James Cleveland. After moving to the United States in 1942, Destiny and her family made their home in Billings, Montana. At age 10, Destiny began cancer treatment, and by her senior year of high school, she had overcome it. Through faith and prayer, God has sustained her, and we thank Him every day for keeping her here.

Destiny and I have been married for 10 years and are blessed with 9-year-old twin boys, Kyle and Klayton. We are incredibly excited to serve alongside our cousin, Pastor Marlita, and look forward to the great things God is preparing to do through this ministry.

A little about our family: Destiny and I love to laugh, have fun, and enjoy life together. Throughout the week, we balance work with meaningful family time—whether that includes visiting the park, traveling, or hosting game nights with our youth department.

Destiny serves as the Praise & Worship Leader at Inspired By The Word. We met in Bible college, where I was pursuing my Master of Divinity degree and she was earning her master’s degree in music and leadership. After dating for nearly two years, I proposed on Christmas Day in 2016—and she said yes! We celebrated with an intimate family wedding in February 2017.
